Street food of Ahmedabad

India is a varied country and just one trip is not enough to taste the lip smacking, delicious and mouth watering recipes of its cities and towns. So here is i bringing you some more.But this is my first blog so that i decide to start from my home town Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is one of the best street food lover city of India and i think most of the gujjus are foodie.As per my opinion Street food is one of the best way to know the taste of people of city in which you are.....

One famous proverb on gujju people is (જ્યાં જ્યાં વસે એક ગુજરાતી ત્યાં ત્યાં સદાકાળ  ગુજરાત) Wherever a Gujarati resides, there forever is Gujarat.

In India street food is loved by each and every age group of person weather you are a student or a working person or you are an old age person. In sense of food India is famous for their street food. And even in present people of India still loves street food more then food chain restaurant. Indian people still loves Pani puri as compare to pizza.....

 1)Gathiya, Jalebi and khaman dhokla

In Gujarat Gathiya,Jalebi and khaman dhokla is not only traditional breakfast but in all over the world gujju peoples are known for people of gathiya and 
dhokla. And as a gujju person i also proud to be a foodie gujarati.  

2)Maskabun

Tea and maskabun in graveyard Yes you read it right,tea and maskabun in graveyard. If you want to visit wierd cafes in India,then this one is must in your list. The tables are set around the spaces between the graves .There are total 26 graves in total but this doesn't bother people. Everyday these graves are cleaned and decorated with flowers to show respect to the souls.The world's first cafe built around the coffins is famous for its masala chai with a twist of cocoa powder added to it. The star combo of this small food joint is masala tea and maska bun.The growing popularity of this place attracted many celebrities ,one of them is famous painter M.F Hussain who made a painting while sipping his chai in new Lucky's cafe.This painting can still be spotted in the wall of this famous cafe . So next time you visit Ahmedabad ,you know where to dine. 

3)Pav-bhaji

Pav-bhaji is one of the famous street food dish in Gujarat as well as Maharashtra. Pav-bhaji is basically introduce in Maharashtra but in Gujarat it is also like as Mumbai people. In Ahmedabad there are many restaurants of cook only pav-bhaji but if you want to take a real taste of pav-bhaji then go to Manek chowk which is stared at 7:00 PM and closed at 2:00 AM. In manek chowk there are combination of pav-bhaji and veg. pulav are famous.

  

4)Dabeli

Dabeli is made with Pav, potato masala, and sweet and spicy chatney. Originally dabeli was founded in Kutch(somewhere in gujarat) but now a days in Ahmedabad there are more then 30+ different variety of dabeli available in Ahmedabad itself. And it is surprise you that if you are eat dabeli anywhere in Ahmedabad you will get same taste everywhere.

5)Chocolate pizza

Chocolate pizza is again famous food of Manek chowk. If you ever visit Ahmedabad never miss the chance to go Manek chowk becasue if you are foodie person then Manek chowk is heaven for you. Chocolate pizza one of the my favorite food. 

6).Sandwich

Sandwich is one of the best way to satisfy your hunger in any country. Because in the whole world there is no place where you can't find bread, but Sandwich of shakti the sandwich shop have unique taste in whole Gujarat. That's why i love to eat sandwich from only in Shakti the sandwich shop and where you can find more then 50+ verity of sandwich.... 

7).Maggi and much more...

Maggi is one of the favorite food those are born since 90's and it is still of the best evening snacks in the whole India. But maggi of Ahmedabad is one the best maggi that you ever eat it's just because of in Ahmedabad their are more then 100+ different verity of maggi is available and it is not only made with maggi packet but in that they are added much more like dry snacks packet, vegetables, chess, butter, paneer(cottage chess) and it is available in fried also....
